Yay! You graduated, but now what?

As a recent college graduate, I have been grappling with the many emotions and experiences that come with the post-grad life.
At the start of it you are so excited and unbelievably proud of yourself. You did it! You earned a college degree. The long road you've been on for 4 years that was fueled by too much Starbucks has landed you here.
The next few weeks you bask in the excitement not thinking much about what's next, or if you're lucky what's next has already begun with that shiny new job. But many of us take some time off, take a vacation, and allow ourselves to relax.
Finally once this phase wears off you are left often feeling lost. You're applying for jobs, sometimes not hearing anything back. You're trying to save money for those daunting student loans, all the while still trying to make plans with friends. You long for some of the stability that school offered; it was a place of comfort even if it was something we all so often complained about. The normalcy we got so used to had disappeared in just as much time as it took to switch over our tassels.
This is where I am right now. In a frenzy applying to jobs, but trying to remain hopeful that something will come up. It's true. The right opportunity will come up, you will get that amazing position. Eventually you'll fall into a new routine that will be yours to create and even more comfortable than all the ones from before.
Post-grad isn't something they prepare you for, but just know everyone is in the same boat as you. Adjusting to new changes is hard, but we've got this. Everything is going to be just fine.
