I'm Glad You're Here

I've been thinking about starting a blog for quite some time now. It never seemed like the right time to start and I never felt like I had an audience willing to listen. But anytime can be the right time if you're willing to do the work, and if your being yourself the right people will find you.

I want to take this opportunity to introduce myself more informally. My name is Madelyn LaPorta, but all my friends call me Maddie. I am 22 years old, and I have lived in my Chicago home for the last 22 years.

Some fun facts about me:

• I spend time every summer at my family's cabin in Northern Wisconsin

• I am a huge Harry Styles fan and I love making playlists on Spotify

• I enjoy creating art using watercolor paints

• Summer is my favorite season
